FAMSY Component

The FAMSY component of the program is aimed at developing the individual as a rounded Muslim equipped with knowledge on spiritual development needed to lead. The workshop will be held once a month.

  • Western civilisation – historical aspects; Brief history of Australia
  • Current global trends (relevant to East-West relationship)
  • Introduction to world religions: basic tenets and beliefs
  • The leader prophet (pbuh) – Islamic perspective of leadership
  • Islamic Civilisation – since the 6th century; its contributions in various spheres and their impact
  • Famous contributions of Muslim scholars in History
  • Western and Eastern ideologies and their impact
  • Contemporary Islamic reform movements
  • Islamic Economic system; Islamic finance and personal finance
  • Fundamentals of Islamic Jurisprudence
  • Fundamentals of Individual Dawa
  • Etiquette of disagreement
  • Diversity management Healthy living: Physical fitness; nutrition and diet.
  • Memory Skills and Mind Mapping

Professional Development Component

The professional education component will be delivered by Victoria University in Melbourne and will include, amongst others, once a month in the following areas:

  • Behavioural Work Styles – Understanding Self and Others
  • Effective Leadership Models
  • Leading Change
  • Media (effective use of media outlets in community leadership)
